Terms of use
Last updated
These terms cover your use of Springfield Home Guide’s guides and forms. The site is run by an independent web publisher. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Information only
Springfield Home Guide is an independent referral and information service. We are not a well driller, septic installer, waste hauler, or dumpster company. We do not perform any work.
The guides provide general information about services for homes around Springfield and rural Greene and Christian counties, Missouri. They do not provide professional or legal advice. Reading a guide does not replace advice about your property from an appropriate professional or information from the responsible public agency.
No warranty on guide accuracy
We provide the guides without a warranty that their information is accurate, complete, or current. Figures are dated and can change. Confirm information that affects your project with the relevant provider or official source before acting on it.
Do not treat a guide, example, or referral as a quote or a determination of what your property needs. The site does not guarantee a price or the outcome of a project.
Requests and independent providers
You can request a referral for wells, septic, trash service, or dumpsters. A person reviews each request by hand. Referral partners are still being confirmed. If no suitable provider is available, we will tell you.
Submitting a request does not guarantee a match, multiple quotes, a callback, a response time, availability, price, or quality of work. Electric and internet guides are information only. We do not accept utility requests.
With your consent, your request may be shared with one independent provider for that service. The provider may pay Springfield Home Guide a referral fee. The request costs you nothing, and you are never obligated to hire anyone.
Any provider you choose is a separate business responsible for its work. You decide whether to hire them and agree on the work and price directly with them. A referral does not guarantee their performance.
Check credentials yourself
Before referring to a well driller, we check the Missouri DNR well installation contractor permit. For septic installers, we check county certification and Missouri DHSS registration. Once a provider is signed, we show the permit number with a link to the official record.
Always confirm a provider’s license and insurance yourself. Our checks do not replace your review before hiring or guarantee the quality of the work.
Use forms honestly
Use the forms for genuine service requests or questions about the site. Provide accurate information about your project and contact details. Do not submit spam, false information, or requests using someone else’s identity.
Read the consent text before submitting a service request. Our privacy policy explains the information collected and shared. Our disclosure explains referral fees and includes the current consent text.
Limits on liability
To the extent Missouri law allows, Springfield Home Guide and its owner are not responsible for losses caused by relying on guide information, a referral being unavailable, or an independent provider’s price, delays, work, or failure to perform.
You make your own decisions about using information and hiring providers. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or limits a right where the law does not allow that exclusion or limit.
Third-party and official links
The site links to third-party businesses and official sources so you can review information directly. Those sites are separate from Springfield Home Guide. Their content and terms may change. A link does not make us responsible for their information, services, or privacy practices.
Changes and governing law
Changes to these terms will appear here with an updated date. Review this page when using the guides or submitting a new request. Missouri law governs these terms.
